F1 - Formula 1 has struck a new contract to race at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne until 2035.


The deal is a 10-year extension on the existing contract, which had been due to expire in 2025. It will extend the race's stay on the calendar to nearly 40 years.

 

Football - La Liga has stepped up its attack on Manchester City and Paris St-Germain by filing a complaint to Uefa about what it believes to be Financial Fair Play breaches.

 

La Liga president Javier Tebas has repeatedly attacked the pair, who he describes as 'state clubs', and strongly criticised PSG over the new multi-euro  contract the French club gave star striker Kylian Mbappe in May and English Premier League side Manchester City over the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.Real Madrid were interested in signing both players.

 

Dani Alves has confirmed he is leaving Barcelona for a second time after returning to the club last year. The 39-year-old right-back rejoined Barcelona in November, five years after he left the Nou Camp for Juventus. In all, Alves made 407 appearances for Barcelona, winning six La Liga titles.

 

Tennis  - Nick Kyrgios beat world number six Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Halle Open - smashing his racquet and arguing with the umpire during the match.

 

The Australian, who is ranked 65th in the world, came back to beat Greek Tsitsipas 5-7 6-2 6-4. The 27 year old  smashed his racquet after losing the opening set in Germany.
