When does UK passport office charge your credit card for new passport?

Featured Replies

Has anyone received a new passport from UK passport office in the recent past?

I would like to know if they charged your card once they received the application, or if it's once they're printed the passport and are ready to send it out.

Just trying to work out when I can expect it.

My understanding is that they bill the card when they receive the application in the UK.

Gotta get the wonga before they do anything.

That's the first thing they do when they receive

your application in the UK.

Check your credit card account few days after

applying.....it is a useful way of checking that

your aplication has been received and is being

processed.

Your card is charged immediately upon receipt of documents in the UK. I checked my CC account one week after submission in CM, the money had been debited.
