Khao Yai: Tourists get great pictures of a herd of elephants

Daily News reported from Thailand's oldest national park, Khao Yai in Nakhon Ratchasima, where a herd of elephants delighted tourists yesterday. 

 

More than 20 pachyderms and their offspring came out of the jungle to an open area of grassland where visitors were able to take great snapshots and selfies throughout the afternoon.

The press were alerted to the event by park chief Chaiya Huayhongthong who said that the elephants appeared near the Thanarat Road, between kilometer markers 34 and 35. 

 

Park staff arrived to make sure that the tourists were keeping a safe distance; they were about 300 meters from the frolicking and feeding elephants, quite safe.
