Economy Rising Costs Threaten Thailand's Once-Thriving Restaurant Scene
50 baht crikey mate, that's a rip-off. 30 baht in the wife's village 50 baht only buys crap at a BigC foodcourt I like quality, clean and tasty food which Kwan's Kitchen has been serving for over 8 years. I agree with others re Food Delivery, it's ruined many a good restaurant and there's often no knowing what quality and hygiene are like. Hopefully it will go the way of Airbnb and decline in popularity. Though knowing how lazy some ppl can be it will probably continue in Thailand at least. -

Transport CAAT Considers Raising Airport Service Charge by October
The major airports are run by AoT, and the small provincial airports by the Department of Airports. CAAT is a regulatory agency that doesn't operate airports, so why are they the ones pushing this? It was raised a year ago, but why let facts get in the way of a good story? https://www.airportthai.co.th/en/aot-will-adjust-its-passenger-service-charge-psc-of-international-and-domestic-passenger/# First of all, Changi provides far better service than BKK, so that's a foolish comparison. Also, they cherry-picked that example, since the PSC at BKK is higher than those in Seoul, Tokyo, KL, and Taipei, and similar to Hong Kong - and most of those airports are much more passenger-friendly than Suvarnabhumi. What a remarkable coincidence that this is exactly what Thaksin said in a speech a week ago... https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/general/3071305/thaksin-touts-golden-visa-higher-travel-fees-to-boost-thailand -

Report Australia’s Teen Screen Lockdown: YouTube Joins Social Media Ban
They try to make out that it's to protect kids, but it isn't. it's to prevent any platform from putting out contentious material for fear of being shut down. The European and Australian governments are in bed with the mainstream media, so the only pro-right material we see comes from the social media peopl., This is the reason for this law. -
