By the removal of compulsory health insurance to enter the kingdom mean that O visa holders can return on a re entry visa without it? For those of my age insurance is impossible to obtain.

A "NON-O" visa does not and has NEVER needed health insurance!

I have been living in Thailand for 32 years of which 17 years with a "NON-O" visa!

WITHOUT health insurance!

But it is different with a "NON-O/A" visa!

If you have been extending a non-o visa entry based upon retirement no health insurance is required when entering the country or for your extension application.
