webfact Posted July 8, 2022 Share Posted July 8, 2022 Picture: Siam Rath Economic Crime Division police announced the arrest of a 65 year old Thai man who had been living in Singburi who was wanted for the sexual molestation of a child under 15 in Chanthaburi in 2010. A team led by Pol Maj-Gen Saran Yossaphonphinet managed to arrest Saman in the grounds of Wat Phra Norn Jaksi in the central Thai province of Singburi, reported Siam Rath. The ECD had received a tip that Saman was living around the Tong Chom Market. He said that when he was an electrician in Chanthaburi he had met the girl at a housing estate and befriended her. He finally took her to a rented room and raped her before allowing her to go home. The mother went to the local police but Saman fled before a court judgment.
