Bangkok is internationally famous for its night entertainment.

With the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, this business sector is bound to recover. Thai PBS World talked to the owner of a long-established pub and restaurant in Bangkok, who said his business is more than 50% recovered.

See, actually opening the venues made a difference! Genius.

Yeah, but it all needs to be shut down and people fired because Thailand is only looking for high-class tourists....

Have a Swedish friend who built a great hotel on Koh Chang. Hard worker, he spent 5 years or so contacting and nurturing travel agencies and bloggers and internet marketing things I don't understand...

His business was incredibly successful, 5-star reviews, and the hotel name recognizable in the west. It was always fully booked.

Then he sold it two years before covid.

The new owners, Thais, immediately changed the name.

It sits pretty much empty now, decaying, despite PROMOTION signs hanging everywhere.

Moral of the story: If it ain't broke, don't <deleted> fix it.

Looking at some of the places yes things are open but not a lot of traffic.  PAPONG is a ghost town due to lack of tourist and rain,

Rumour has it that some of the stalls may return but no one knows for sure.  Until more horney single men start coming to Thailand it is going to be quiet.

Lots of girls on Thaniya but again little traffic

Most places on Surwangse are closed

Bangkok is internationally known for it's infamous night entertainment.

But people aren't flocking here in the numbers they need. Too many people are being bashed by the cost of living crisis, flights prices are sky-high and the Muppets extended the state of emergency, which means they can change anything at anytime.

Places in Pattaya are really only busy at the weekends, you go out during the week and it's flat, with not that many customers in alot of places, if any.

Most guys here who go out to those venues to have a beer or two, ogle the birds and go back home so far so good, but for those who like a bit of play and pay those play's fees has gone markedly, i understand inflation and cost of commodities has gone gone up but play time? but i hear that other places that cater for non foreignness play's fees are still ok... so duel pricing is evident in places where foreigners frequent..
