Daily News Thai Caption: Knife attack on wife

 

Daily News reported on developments following a savage attack on a woman working at a downtown Chiang Rai restaurant known for its "nam ngiaw" - a kind of khanom jeen noodle dish.

 

"A", 25, was left with knife wounds to the back of her head and her back. There was a lot of blood and a bloodstained knife was recovered.

 

The assailant was none other than her husband, Tan, 30. 

 

He is now in custody.

Witnesses saw him walk into the restaurant with the large knife and attack his wife in the kitchen area.

 

He then fled on a red motorcycle.

 

Daily News reported that the lady who was attacked was rushed to hospital and was fortunately saved.
