webfact
77kaoded Thai Caption: Shut up and all quiet, not yet open for business 77kaoded reported from Samut Prakan that the once popular Crocodile Farm and Zoo in the area remained shut as it has been for two years of the pandemic. An official vets' task force was sent to the facility after a person called Chayanan complained about cruelty to elephants being kept at the zoo while it's shut. He described what he called "horrendous cruelty" as elephants were chained up all day long developing wounds on their legs. Picture: 77kaoded He called it the most serious case of animal abuse in Thailand. But the vets who went to investigate found that simply changing the chains relieved any problems. The elephants were in good mental shape too, was their assessment that largely dismissed Chaiyanan's claims as unsubstantiated. Picture: 77kaoded 77kaoded said they had tried and failed to contact the farm and zoo owner Uthen Yanpraphakorn without success. The facility was shut and he wasn't picking up. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-07-23 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Pork Pie
This place has been mistreating the animals for most (if not all) of its 72 years and all with impunity. Despite years of tourists trying to highlight the cruelty of these captive beasts, little to nothing has been done. I'm so glad that I live in a predominately Buddhist country. amykat
Such a frustrating issue. Like why some Thai people seem to care about dogs but then try to keep pets in cages that are the size suited for coffins …cannot move …for birds, for cats, for dogs …what the hell are they thinking??
