murni
I have had a small pool for 4 years & until a few months ago no problems, then this pink algea/fungus appeared. It started in the corners & around the lights & gradually spread all over. It does not respond to the usual chemicals. so emptied the pool scrubbed with bleach etc & that kept it away for about 10 weeks but now it's back with a vengeance! Does anyone know how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance.
Paragon
Also curious about the answer. Had it in my pond. Gardener said don't worry, it will go away naturally. It's a annual seasonal thing and it did. But I'm curious about it from an expert too.
cdnvic
Superchlorinating didn't kill it? What was the stuff like when you scrubbed it? Compared to normal algae. Edited June 27, 2007 by cdnvic
patrickq
I've got a courtyard jacuzzi pool, about 4x2 metres, and use Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) in that. Was told that I'd also need some chemicals to combat algae, but that's not the case, have successfully cleared green algae with the H2O2, so might well work with whatever you've got. The great thing is that the water is pleasant to be in, your skin feels great afterwards, unlike a chlorinated pool. I buy a product called Lomafresh from a company (Lomatech) in Pattaya.
