It's actually run by The Royal Projects and is opposite Huay Kaew Fitness Park on Huay Kaew rd.

Their ice cream is great as are the smallgoods they sell there, such as pork jerky, all the german type sausages, great streaky bacon, smoked trout and a good range of fresh organic veggies. The missus and i pop in once a week or so for a top up..

Austhaied,

Knackwurst was excellent. No weird plastic skin; the real deal. The cheese is sold in rather narrow slices; looks and tastes like a rather fine Dutch Edam, with wax rind. And they have so many locally produced products such as teas, dried herbs, honey- even skin care products for the ladies. I'm sold on the place.

OK, so today I go by for a cheese refill, and score the pork jerky. Frozen package, Superior Jinhua Pork, 500 g, 110 B.

I am assuming this is a air-dried meat, and you mentioned you either use the wok or BBQ. Has it been seasoned? meaning salt, sugar, etc. Any input from the renowned food expert, Austhaied, will be much appreciated.... :o

PS The ice cream sucks (on thread)

large chunk sea salt is sold at Rimping. It was on the bottom shelf in front of the meat counter. It was about 25 baht a kilo, if I recall.

However, if you are just doing small batches, make a custard base and the rest of your ingredients and then blend in a blender. Put the blender in the freezer for an hour, blend again, put back in the freezer and repeat at least two more times. Pour in a baking tray or individual cups and freeze solid.

Blender ice cream can come pretty close to machine made and it doesn't cost you thousands of baht for the machine.

However the best commercial ice cream makers have a built in freezer. Baker Mart has a decent model for 9K baht. makes 1 quart portions in about 30 minutes. Clean and make another batch right away.

Surprised no one has mentioned Sai-Mui on Soi 11 Nimmenheinen (adjacent to Su Casa).

Great home made ice cream, the ladies there make it themselves.

Sure they could assist you with your inquiries.

No affiliations at all with the shop/owners, just a happy customer.

If the OP is a farang and financially supporting a Thai with a retail ice cream business, making or selling it directly himself or supplying someone else, then don`t forget those work permits.
