A 25-year-old motorcyclist died on the spot after getting hit and run by an unidentified vehicle in Sri Racha.

Pol. Capt. Boonlai In-iam was notified yesterday, August 9th, of the hit-and-run incident on an overpass inbound to Laem Chabang port and rushed to the scene.

At around 9 AM, the body of Pittaya Jermcharoen, 25, was found lying near his black Honda Click bike along with his helmet, which reportedly slipped off his head. Rescue workers spent half an hour trying to give CPR to the victim but failed due to his severe head injuries. He was then transferred to Laem Chabang Hospital to await his relatives.

Avoidable death if he was wearing a helmet ??

Any hit-&-runner should automatically receive serious charges... it is a despicable act of cowardice.

Obviously extenuating circumstances involve escaping for ones safety when locals are getting riled up... but in all other cases its utterly inexcusable.

Many times motorcycles are on motorway and overpass roads where they are not permitted....  but agree to run away from the scene is a cowardly act.

Another statistic that will change nothing.

That means taking resposibility for your own actions..............Not here

Maybe it was break failure reason why they couldn't stop?????

Report the helmet was worn but it slipped off?  R.I.P.  another day in paradise.

That overpass is an incident hotspot, just outside the Harbor Mall in Laem Chabang, there are regular accidents and fatalities there.

Brake failure reason not to stop? How about stopping when he/she could and then calling police to report what happened? Or are you just being sarcastic?
