Sri Racha highway rescuers who responded to a car accident reportedly forgot the body of a victim inside the car wreck for 12 hours before being found by police officers.

Highway police called the Sawang Prateep Emergency Service to collect the body of a car crash victim, which they said was forgotten inside a car wreck by Sri Racha highway rescuers yesterday, August 9th.

The body belonged to Pattarachai Attaporn, a male driver who died after his White Nissan sedan overturned on highway 7 inbound to Pattaya. At that moment, the rescuers who responded to the accident and moved the car to Khao Kheow High Way Patrol Station were reportedly from the Sri Racha highway office.

If a Dr didn't prounonce death on the driver, will the family be able to sue based on the possibility that their relative was left to die in the car ?

Life Extinct is pronounced at the hospitals' mortuary and a legal document is prepared and signed by a registered medical practitioner. As no doctor attends the scene it could be possible for a body with not so obvious injuries to be still alive, hence the need to get the body to a medical facilty asap as rescue guys here have no medical training. Of course ambulances will have been usually dispatched and they have a medic and nurse who can make that assessment.

I believe there was a fatal crash some years ago when a baht bus left the road after the husband & wife team had a row.  It was (over)loaded with schoolkids and 15 people died.  One body was foundin the brush a week later when relatives finally missed him.
