ECD seize 3,000 cartons of illegal cigarettes worth 2 million baht in Bangkok

Daily News reported that officers from Thailand's Economic Crime Division seized non-tax paid cigarettes worth 2 million bahtin Bangkok.

 

Two suspects were arrested after ECD chiefs and officials from an illegal cigarette organization were sent in.

Officials mounted checks in Lad Prao and Ramkhamhaeng where cigarettes were being sold to minors.

 

Earlier there had been five arrests over the importation of illegal cigarettes in the south involving 3 million baht's worth.
