Tennis - France's Caroline Garcia created history with victory in the women's final at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati. The 28-year-old defeated Petra Kvitova 6-2 6-4 to become the first qualifier to win a WTA 1000 title. The world number 35 is now set to return to the top 20 rankings for the first time since 2017.
