The constitutional court received a petition from 171 members of opposition parties seeking a ruling on the legal political situation of the Prime Minister after reaching  the eight year limit as PM.


The court is due to decide whether it will proceed with the case tomorrow Wednesday, if accepted, the court will then decide if general Prayut  should be temporarily suspended from office until the judges rule on the issue.

 

Ousted Sri Lankan president Gota-baya Raja-paksa is due to return to Sri Lanka today after spending just 2 weeks in Bangkok. 
 
A social Telecare platform has been launched, with the aim to improve healthcare services for the vulnerable population.


The system developed at Thamasat University is designed to help improve access to the National Health and social services for people with disabilities, the elderly and monks.

 

The airports authority announced it is expecting to see substantial growth and profits within the next 18 months, however much  of that growth will depend on the resumption of flights from China which is still uncertain. 

 

The government announced it would assist households by partly subsidising the cost of electricity after the price is due to go up between September and December, 


The amount of subsidy per household will depend on the amount of electricity used.

Delaying the election may coincide with a tough global economy and inflation, while an early election may not be popular with voters.

 

Myanmar’s military junta-Supreme Court approved the sale of the family home of ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi yesterday at the request of Suu kyi’s older brother. The property has been at the center of a bitter family dispute for decades. 


In 2000 while Suu Kyi was under house arrest, her brother sued her claiming the house was his.
