mrwebb8825 Posted August 24, 2022 Share Posted August 24, 2022 Put a meter on it and turn on all your breakers and switches. If it's hot then it's probably a "Switch leg" for a light or fan and should be capped off. If it it's hot, it may still be a "switch leg" but not connected in the wall box.
