Thai FDA approves Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 6 months -5 years

COVID-19 vaccine in vials with maroon caps, developed by Pfizer, are now approved for use in children aged 6 months to 5 years, with 3 injections of 3µg per dose. The vaccine is 80.3% effective at preventing COVID-19.

Thai tourism continues to recover with 4 million arrivals already this year

The number of foreign tourists entering Thailand so far this year has now exceeded 4 million in a positive sign, reflecting the continuing recovery of Thailand’s tourism sector.

Satellite images show widespread flooding in Thailand’s northeast

The Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) has released images, taken on August 24th by the Sentinel-1 satellite, of flooding covering 20,800 hectares of land in the north-eastern region of Thailand. More than 11,200 hectares of rice fields have been affected.

Thai finance minister says committed investment projects unaffected by political risks

Wednesday’s suspension of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha from his duties by Thailand’s charter court may raise questions over whether investor confidence and public investments are being affected. The country’s finance minister has, however, insisted that investment projects, to which the government has already committed, will continue.
