Popular Post brianthainess
I got a new 'android' TV a few months ago, i recently came across some old, memory cards one i realized had some porn, it loaded on the TV then when clicked on to one vid, the TV just shuts down even turning off the standby light. even after rebooting, Now will not load any cards whatever their content. Cards work in computer and in older TV. Thoughts any one ?
Popular Post Bert got kinky
Sorry, I don't have he reply but can you not just take it back to the store and have them look at it, only a few months old then it should still be withing warranty.
Popular Post giddyup
Never heard of a TV shutting down because of porn. I would say there's some fault with the TV that's unconnected.
arithai12
There's a way (it depends on the TV brand specific menu) to force an update via internet. You could try that first. If still no-no, then ask the shop.

Or come out. Easier than carting down a 65" TV. Of course it may be a 32". Then by all means. If its LG or Samsung they'll service it for free at your home. Have it tested without the porn card to avoid any odd stares. 1 1

Yep I think that is what has happened, a corrupted card, yet works elsewhere.

It's Chinese you pay for what you get, and don't tell the mike on the remote to F--- Off, she gets really pissy with "please don't talk to me that way'' I kid you not, then if you say sorry "OK i'll delete that from my memory".... scary stuff.

And of course if some work, is it only newer cards that work? you could test by downloading current porn I guess haha.

The list of files were read into memory so you could see them show up but when you tried to access the file the TV was unable to communicate with the card slot anymore, got itself confused and shut down. After restarting the TV the Operating System the memory card slot is no longer detected (due to the disconnect) and therefore nothing shows up.
problemfarang
the porn card was in the TV you newly bought? it might have some virus in it and affected your TV. OR maybe your TV setup off for the adult content? need service. I would take it back and ask for a new TV without a porn card in it. JayClay
For those suggesting a virus, I think this is highly unlikely. Android is a pretty robust system and in general malware only manifests itself if users give permission. Even then, the root-level access needed to disable an SD card reader just wouldn't be obtainable under normal circumstances. It's also a pretty croppy virus if that's all it actually does.
