When watching anything on Youtube , it will pop up ,your offline,

when I am not ,can connect to other sites no problem.

I have to clear cache ,browsing history ,ect in browser then

reload Youtube and it works again , but why does it say I

am offline ? and is there a fix.

Is this on an existing device or a new one ?

Existing device , it has also started to do it on another PC I have,

but not so often.

That's interesting, only thing I can think of is that perhaps the devices are getting old and running out of space, i.e. if your downloading a lot, that said, not technical on these matters but I had a similar issue a while ago, and had to do what you had to do i.e. clear cache, browsing history and history as annoying as it was.

Sorry I can't assist, but if your devices are getting on, might be time to change them with bigger memories, I just did reluctantly after 7 years, but appreciate the quicker downloads and the rest, sometimes I'm my own worst nightmare.

Hopefully someone comes along and provides a better answer for you which will sort it.

Also you could try these out if you haven't already in the link below.

Good luck.

There are multiple "how to"s on the net (youtube videos ) about this error message.

Search for:

youtube offline message

youtube offline problem pc

youtube says im offline pc

...

One was about checking date/time on your device.

And many more about resetting some internet parameters.

I doubt that your device is too old, too little memory etc.

youtube adapts easy to slower internet connections, lower resolution graphics etc.
