A small boat capsized in the Mapprachan reservoir and drowned a 47-year-old man.

Nongprue police and the Sawang Boriboon water rescue team rushed to the Mapprachan reservoir in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung after receiving a report of a missing person on Tuesday afternoon, September 12th.

The missing person was a Thai man named Boonsuan Somsanoh (47), according to his wife who waited in panic on the shore. She said her husband had paddled his small boat off the shore to lay a fish trap in the reservoir before the boat capsized and caused him to go missing.

Another unnecessary loss of life.. just a few minor and inexpensive precautions could avoid these outcomes.

Only three possibilities really, drunk as a skunk, a fisherman that cannot swim, or a heart attack. My money is on a combination of the first 2

I was thinking of a clumsy one who falls in and gets tangled in his net. Still sad, this lake has taken a few now.
