Royal palace officials were instructed to pay respect to Queen Elizabeth the second in front of her the portrait outside the Grand Palace in Bangkok yesterday. as the state funeral was taking place in London.

The late British monarch visited Thailand twice, in 1972 and 1996.

Police have seized 26 luxury vehicles stolen in the UK and imported illegally, then sold as new vehicles here in a joint operation with British authorities called ‘Titanium’ 

Investigations started in 2016, when criminals used fake documents to import 35 luxury cars, Owners and buyers of 26 of the vehicles were notified of the thefts and decided to return the cars to police, 
However, nine of the car owners have yet to return their vehicles. 

 

Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt is due to meet a water resources committee  today and will propose building a new "flood highway" 

The project would consist of a tunnel that would take water to a kanal and into the sea, the cost is estimated at around 10 billion baht. 

 

Five NEW double-track railway routes, are due to open before the end of the year, three of them are in the south, They include Nakhon Pathom to Chumphon, which includes Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan, a total distance of 412 kilometers.

The government believes the new train services will save time and reduce costs of transporting freight.  

 

A woman was attacked and seriously injured by her male pitbull while she was feeding a stray dog. 
The 60 year old woman suffered serious injuries to her neck and right arm,   her husband had to use a metal bar to prise open the dog's mouth to free his wife.
