      CNN  —

The Justice Department on Tuesday announced charges against 47 people accused of stealing $250 million from a federal program designed to provide meals for needy children during the pandemic.

According to the department, the scheme is the largest Covid-19-related fraud uncovered by investigators to date. The defendants are facing a range of charges, including conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering, and paying and receiving illegal kickbacks.

Now this is really something that Americans should freak out about.  Not 50 people sent to Martha's Vineyard for 44 hours. How was there no follow up on these funds that should be so extremely easy to follow up on? These people spend millions of $$ on houses around the world, cars etc. in a very short period of time. Complete scum.

It's quite interesting to see how greedy people can be imaginative! And also how dumb they can be!

It is obvious that they were leaving too many traces. This kind of scheme may remain unnoticed only in countries where one can easily bribe authorities (you see what I mean ????).

This is what a Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) moment looks like, and every voter should consider it before heading to the ballot box. While families cried and names were read during the 9/11 memorial, NYC Mayor Mamdani and AOC (possible Dem choice for POTUS ) were caught laughing it up in the exact same frame. You can check out how News outlets like CNN frame the clip versus the stark visual reality captured by the NYP. "Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were seen la

If you could find a way to pull your head out of Trump's bloated arse, perhaps you could find your way back to reality. Your silly, but typical for a MAGA, post has been discredited even by Republicans. But you need to believe, because your little world is way too fragile and you are too weak. As for the Number One sponsor of terrorism, Trump and Jared's bestie Saudi Arabia is certainly in the running. 15 of 19 9-11 hijackers were Saudi. Saudi has long funded Sunni terrorist groups and continues to this day. Trump's buddy also ordered the dismemberment of a US person and WaPo journalist, and Trump was not only shown proof, but shown the horrific photos which the killers sent back to MbS. Trump was briefed directly by then-DCI Gina Haspel. If the US has any true allies in the Middle East, beginning in Egypt and running across the Gulf, it would be Jordan and Oman. Only. EVERY other state has betrayed the US.

Required, ticket number, completed form, full photocopies of old passport and new, TM30, 90 day report, entry card. Did all that ........ then ......... I presume some of you guys also belong to PA. I used to frequent the site but dropped away about a decade back. I knew Edge fairly well, discussed stuff with him many times via PA, and chatted a couple of times with him in bars. So I had a look around the PA blog the other day and I see EDGE RIP. Also Daveo RIP. I knew Daveo quite well and knew he had serious health issues, and heard he had passed away a while back. But Edge? Can anyone tell me what happened to him?

One of the biggest problems caused by modernity has been the social condition known as anomie where people are adrift without purpose. Obviously, such a condition can lead to horrific consequences to society. Mass murderers and political extremists can both be traced to those who are totally detached from normalcy. This song recently popped into my feed in a criminal justice group I belong to. I wont get into the circumstances as they are too revolting, but suffice it to say that the lyrics an

Do you hide behind a cloak of anomymity? It seems that many on this forum do so? Why? Do you have something to hide? Upset too many people? I'd like to know your reasons. My father taught me to stand by my words and not to hide away, even if that means receiving abuse, ridicule etc. Look for my face and bio on the internet - It's in many public places (no, not the blue 'gonk'!). Nothing to hide. So for those forum members who never reveal themselves, what's the reason?
