webfact Posted September 21, 2022 Share Posted September 21, 2022 Daily News Thai Caption: One sacrificed life, 4 injured Daily News reported that a bomb concealed in a roadside shack outside the Maikaen Hospital in Pattani in Southern Thailand exploded yesterday evening as a local police patrol in a pick-up was passing. Maikaen police at the scene found a badly damaged pick-up. Five officers had been taken to the hospital where Sen Sgt Maj Baree Baka died from shrapnel wounds. Four others were injured. It is believed that southern separatist terrorists were responsible for the blast using a 20 kilogram improvised explosive device concealed in a shack opposite the hospital.
