What with the pound tanking i'd like to spend 400k of the 800k I keep in the bank for retirement extensions. The problem is I changed my name for family reasons in the UK after we got married. I have all the documentation in my old name but it's different in my new passport to on the marriage certificate. Would this make it impossible to change to a marriage extension? Of course we could get divorced and married again but that wold be too much hassle.

If you have proof you changed your name and have the proof translated to Thai and certified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA it should be accepted.

You also may be able to the have your name changed on the Kor Ror 2 marriage registry at a Amphoe.
