Ukrainian forces perform victory dance after liberating eastern city of Lyman, just after Putin claimed it was Russia's "for ever"

This isn't exactly on the liberation (or fall--depending on who you back) of Lyman but I am wondering what Putin's strategy actually is.  He is going forward with mass conscriptions, but from all appearances, his armory appears to be deleted.  He's lost a huge number of tanks, trucks and assorted military hardware.  He most likely has an ammunition shortage -- unless North Korea has come through with the ammunition he wanted.

Does Putin plan to simply try to overrun Eastern Ukraine with cannon fodder?  Will this be some sort of invasion that goes down in history books as a 'hoard' of invading troops?

Ukraine troops say they take key town, Putin ally mulls possible nuclear response

KYIV, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Ukrainian troops said on Saturday they had taken the key bastion of Lyman in occupied eastern Ukraine, a stinging defeat that prompted a close ally of President Vladimir Putin to call for the possible use of low-grade nuclear weapons.

The capture came just a day after Putin proclaimed the annexation of four Ukrainian regions - including Donetsk, where Lyman is located - and placed them under Russia's nuclear umbrella, at a ceremony that was condemned by Kyiv and the West as an illegitimate farce.

The Ukrainian soldiers made the claim in a video that was recorded outside the town council building in the centre of Lyman and posted on social media by Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's office.

Would this be a case of Russia abandoning its own territory to a foreign power even though Putin said these regions will be Russian forever? LOL

You have to love the Chechnya Terrorist with his statement that Putin should use a low level nuke.......I guess it would be, if I can not have it then no one will......a new true border badland.....stupid feces.

"Chechnya’s president, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a scathing critique of its many failures.

Writing on Telegram, Kadryov called on the Kremlin to consider using a “low-yield nuclear weapon” in the wake of its Lyman setback. He asked sarcastically what cities Russia might lose next, adding: “Everything would be good if it wasn’t so bad.”

Here we have it from Russian State TV:

Ukraine is declaring war to liberate these territories

Russian state TV avoids mentioning Lyman and admits things are going badly

So it is Ukraine who has started the war...buffoons.
