RTP act on PM's orders: Crackdown on gun crime in Nakhon Pathom

Siam Rath reported from the grounds in front of the famous chedi in Nakhon Pathom, central Thailand yesterday.

 

Region 7 chief of police Pol Lt-Gen Thanayut Wuthijarasthamrong presided over the launch of a crackdown called "Triumphing over the bullies - protecting the good".

The bullies in this case are people with weapons after there was an increase in gun crime in the area.

 

The media reported that several incidents in the area had scared the public and that the force in Region 7 were acting on orders from Thai PM Prayuth Chan-ocha.

 

The PM acted after the massacre in north eastern Thailand last week.
