FORMER national police chief Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temeiwes, who is the leader of Seri Ruam Thai Party, said Mr. Srisuwan Chanya, secretary-general of the Association for the Protection of the Thai Constitution, being punched and kicked Tuesday (Oct. 18) should be considered an attempt to teach him a lesson as it would come under the category of violence if a stick, knife or pistol had been used, Sanook.com said.

Mr. Weerawit Rungruengsiriphon, or Uncle Sak, 62, punched up Srisuwan just as he was going to file a complaint against stand-up comedian Mr. Udom Taepanich, whose stage name is Nose, for allegedly mocking the government.

However Sereepisuth pointed out that Srisuwan regularly files complaints against other people and even he himself had been so hit.

As he sees it, Srisuwan is doing this regularly because he wants to be in the news and famous.

Wait what? If no weapon is used then it's not violence? So it's ok to punch people to convince them of your viewpoint? Is that what a former national police chief is saying? What the?

Yes.....it's perfectly OK to punch Srisuwan.

He is an ardent supporter of the most reactionary individuals and institutions of Thai society.

He is representative of everything that keeps the Thai peoples faces pressed in the dirt while the individuals and institutions that he supports gorge themselves on the wealth of the nation.

They all deserve a good punching.....and then a bit of spitting on....and then stringing up.

One on one is very un Thai, maybe Srisuwan could report that!

Heel boy!

the ego here is so gross. yet another example of what's holding this place back.

Send in Darrell Brooks to the meetings, and what justification does the good captain have then?

A clear case of sticking your Nose in and getting it punched ????

Well, certainly is here if you are an upper class hitting a lower one

He's just a pathetic idiot who runs a coffee shop and is constantly trying to draw attention to himself. He used to file complaints against the government but gave that up when they threatened him so he clearly doesn't have any real ethics. The mystery is why the media gives him so much free publicity.

Got it in one... eventually his actions were going to provoke a response.

He might be annoying but that doesn't mean you can use violence. If his complaints are frivolous then one can punish him for that via legal means. If they are valid then maybe the rules and laws are bad and his actions while not pleasant are at least raising the issue. And if he is always making a stink about nothing then maybe it's the media who shouldn't put him in the spotlight all the time?

The masks make the picture look even more ridiculous.

I found this article quite difficult to understand.  Confusing sentence structure and grammar errors all over the place.  Are these articles proof read?

during this incident he had his private driver, who protected him.

Might be very profitable coffee shop if he can have servants.

Look at the video - he was whisked off inside the governmental building shortly after being attacked. He is governmental tool. Probably well paid and his shop is just a cover up
