Because it's not part of the culture there.

Go to Phuket for that. I did once and don't regret it.

I think that the vegetarian festivals arr held throughout the country and the most extreme one is held in Phuket  and the less extreme one should also be held in Bangkok too.

He's obviously looking for a parade where many people are sticking objects through their face. You go to Phuket for that.
