Sanook Thai Caption: 1,000's all over the road

A woman called Suphonthip told Sanook how she had given her truck driver in a ten wheeler 100,000 baht to buy cassava in Khon Kaen.

Unfortunately the driver left the money in a packet on the footplate leading up to his cab and drove off.

Outside a "laab" stall on the Nam Pong to Ubonrat Dam Road the money flew off and was run over by a Honda Jazz scattering it in all directions.

A family and another good Samaritan were filmed on social media collecting the cash for the owner.

It was only realised later that the money was missing.

Suphonthip said she was following the truck and there was suddenly a long traffic jam. She thought there'd been an accident.

Little did she know it was her cash that was causing the jam up ahead.

She hoped that if anyone finds the missing 8,000 baht they would please hand it in to the Nam Pong police.

She thanked the good Samaritans and said she wouldn't be taking action against her driver.

He was mortified about what happened, punishment enough.
