Sanook Thai Cap: You're quite sure it won't fall?

Sanook reported on a Facebook video post by a guy called Anuphong Hunphuang who was riding a motorcycle in Nonthaburi.

He took footage of what many people thought was an accident waiting to happen. A large piece of concrete precariously atop an overhanging piece just meters above motorists' heads.

Picture: Sanook

It was filmed on the Bang Yai to Kanchanaburi Road.

It is a section where there are roadworks and site engineers assured Sanook that the pieces in question were all fixed together as part of a bridge and there was no cause for alarm.

There was no danger of it falling off at all.

New speed control countermeasures? ????

Perfectly safe , untill it falls , TIT

Just shows what kind of people they have doing the work. Only a single celled creature would think that is safe.

The thing is a support for the overpass under construction.

If it's completed will you fear to drive under?

Even if it's Thailand, do you believe a big construction company just lays a loose chunk of concrete over a motorway?

Fear a major earthquake which would be needed to bring this down?

Typical social media buzz where a mosquito can make an elephant.

Didn't take long for the structural failure of Champlain Towers South condo to disappear from peoples memories.

It's not new structures that concern me , walk around NY and witness scaffold at street level to protect pedestrians from windows that are falling out of multi storey buildings  built 40 years and more ago.

Interesting.

Some years ago in Berlin windows were falling from a "Europa Center" built in 1965 in the western city. No victims fortunately.

It will be held on with the Thai fix-all..... A piece of Wire

Its hardly likely to be blown down by the wind

More likely held on with the sticky residue of the migrant worker underneath it

And some have fallen out of housing board flats in Singapore, but that quickly invoked a serious planned project to fix the problems and now all OK.

Earthquake safe?
