INN reported that a group of small and large monkeys were causing trouble to residents of the Jan Pratheep community by the railway tracks in Hat Yai, southern Thailand.

The locals reported that the hungry  monkeys have been taking fruit like passionfruit and mangoes.

They feared attacks on children walking in the road with snacks.

Some took pity on the creatures feeding them water melon.

The monkeys had never been a problem before.

They were chased away along power lines that run along the railway tracks.

So it goes on, encourage them with free food and then moan when they come looking for a hand-out.
