15 people, Thai and Chinese nationals have been arrested for their association with a string of illegal businesses. 


The arrests came after a raid on a nightclub posing as a carwash in Chinatown.   


 A further series of raids netted several cars, luxury items, fake ID cards, passports and cash, totalling some 42 million baht.


Investigations continue to see if any officials, politicians or senior police officers are involved. 

Thailand's interior minister yesterday defended the government's proposal to allow foreign nationals to purchase land saying it would attract investment and stimulate the economy.


The proposal has come under criticism from many who say it’s selling off the country.


The minister added the  draft regulation was open to public debate and could  be amended to introduce additional limitations, 


A Singaporean motorcyclist  was killed and a female friend injured when he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve on hilly road and rammed into a six-wheel truck in Kathu in Phuket.


The truck driver told police he saw the motorcycle rider approaching in the opposite lane and rammed into his vehicle.

 The riders were waiting to hear from their management about a change in their operating systems  but were warned by police that were breaking the law.

 

The body of a Chinese rocket launched on Monday is due to fall towards earth tomorrow lunchtime and there is a remote chance fragments could land in Northern Thailand.


The rocket was used to deliver the final module of china’s space station

Researchers say The technology, which replaces the battery’s chemical solution with a new substance of gel-like consistency, could be scaled up immediately in China’s booming electric vehicles industry.
