I posted a similar post some days ago but I dont think I explained everything thoroughly enough, and it didnt bring many replies, so I thought i'd have a go at explaining everything again.

 

 

I am a Swedish Jazz musician and experimentalist who has a great interest in regional culture, and who's got a special place in my heart for the Khaen.

 

I recently came into contact with a man who owned a chromatic variant (i.e a custom made instrument with 2 octaves and all the 12 western notes), and I asked him where i could get one. He seemed helpful at first, but the communication ended up cold, and I am looking for an alternative source.

 

I'd want the contact info for a Khaen maker who is willing and qualified to take on the task. I will tip well.

I had  a Khaen made in roi et about 10 years ago lots of makers there, you will need a thai speaker to help you. Maybe a place to start is the links below.
