Have Credit Card Payment Bank Fees Gone Up?

Has anybody any knowledge of Thai Banks now charging 5% (+7% on the 5%) for credit card payments?

Hearsay, then. Not much use discussing it here as with every question that crops up you would have to go back to that “somebody” and you probably never will get the actual facts. If it happens to you, by all means come and report it here.

interest rates for credit cards are going up to 20% effective July 1, 2007.....up from 14%

If it's a credit card transaction through an online payment system, then they are probably paying about 5% commission to the bank that runs the payment gateway.
