Five people were killed in a shooting at a condominium in a Toronto suburb Sunday night, police said, a “terrible” crime that came amid Canada’s efforts to tighten its gun control laws.

After responding to an active shooting call about 7:20 p.m. at the residential building in Vaughan, just north of Toronto, police found a “horrendous scene where numerous victims were deceased,” York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween said at a news conference. A male gunman, 73, was shot by an officer during a confrontation and died, the chief said.

"Constable Laura Nicolle told CNN the incident was the “most terrible call I’ve seen in my entire career.”"

so is she moving to Texas any time soon?

I also do not like living in a condo, but I would just sell and move away.

This old nut decided to go after people who had offended him, how foolish.

There are many other people in the world like this guy, that s what is scary to me.

Seems a common element of mass shootings is that they take everyone by surprise and no one is on the scene to shoot back.

Canada isn’t even in the top 100 most dangerous countries on every list I found.    I guess it’s because they speak English we are reading about it.   Are we really going to comment on 10,000 stories on war zone areas?    This story is horrible, but imagine what happens that we don’t read about.  Media….interesting.   Maybe because Canada has some money, near America.   Who knows….

Where is the good guy with a gun? Hiding under the bed usually. Don't blame him either.

Looks like the PM has his excuse to get his law passed now.
