webfact Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 By Tanakorn Panyadee Banglamung, Chonburi — An ex-conscript suspect who allegedly shot his neighbor in the head and injured another man in a dispute over a land sale surrendered to the police after one day of escaping. The suspect claimed he was infuriated because the victims bashed his face with a rod. Yesterday, December 22nd, local media interviewed the daughter of one of the victims, Maprang (alias), about the dispute between the suspect and her father. She said the suspect, Mr. Akanee Sakaeo, had been arguing with her father for a long time over aspects related to a land sale that he had purchased from her father for 980,000 Baht in 2021. Her dad, who was also injured by Akanee, had a problem with transferring the land to the suspect. The delay frustrated the suspect and prompted a feud that lasted even after the land was successfully transferred to him, Maprang claimed. Xonax Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 If someone was bashing my head with a rod, I wouldn't hesitate to use a gun, if I had one on me.
J Branche Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 In America the money is normally transferred day of closing or transfer of ownership. An inspection of the land, property and/or house are conducted the day of transfer of ownership and money. I'm not aware of Thai laws and process for real estate transfers. The buyer can put down a deposit held in some type of escrow and be required to present proof of funds (Amount and availability of money). If possession or transfer is not complete the seller would pay any taxes and maintenance until transfer day.
