Two teams formed to probe loss of HTMS Sukhothai and rescue operations

The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) has set up two panels, one to investigate the cause of the sinking of HTMS Sukhothai and the second to assess the search and rescue operations and the ship abandonment process, Admiral Pokkrong Monthatphalin, the RTN Spokesman said today (Monday).

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) has suggested that a recent decision to hike electricity prices by 20% in early 2023 will push up inflation and undermine Thailand’s competitiveness just as the economy has started to gradually recover from the pandemic.

The Royal Thai Police will no longer reveal the nationalities of foreign suspects, following complaints that doing so risked damaging relations with the countries in question. A Nation Thailand report says that the RTP has ordered all law-enforcement bodies to refrain from mentioning nationalities when discussing arrested foreign nationals.

Police academy admission exam scam complaint received by CSD

A formal complaint was lodged with the Crime Suppression Division police today (Monday), by the Police Education Bureau and the Royal Police Cadet Academy, against a number of individuals allegedly involved in examination cheating for admission to police academies for non-commissioned officers.
