Trust those who put their $$ where their mouth is - the bettors.
Whether more detail on policies would be political suicide is debatable. Most people will see her only on an electronic screen. What mostly counts there is impressionistic - their view of the human being on display. The detail of policies is - mostly - for the nerds to sweat over before coming up with a counter-slogan. In any case, so far she has scarcely put a foot wrong (unlike her opponent who steps in it every day). If she can continue to manoeuvre around policies without losing herself in the detail, she's probably on a winner. We'll all know soon enough. -

So, the UK-Thai tax treaty is worthless, i.e., you can't use the treaty's tie breaker language to determine which country has primary taxation rights, and the other secondary taxation rights? This would mean double taxation, which I doubt an expat Brit would stand for.... But, hey, King George tried SRT a few centuries ago, telling Americans they were honorary British residents, for tax purposes. We know how that ended. -

I'd surmise that the majority of Thais engaging in street vending don't rub shoulders with the Shinawatra clan, their buddies, or the Thai HiSo communities. Now regarding the 300K cap on income. That sort of would require Thais to file taxes and from my experience out here in Native Thailand? Most Thais in that sociology-economic category don't file taxes. And then if the Shinawatra clan, their buddies, or the Thai HiSo communities wanted to run a string of Thai citizen proxies and pay them slave wages to run street vending stalls - well look at Teflon Tony kids - Who Is Gonna Enforce the law? My guess is the law will be used as an excuse to shake-down street vendors who are on the margins of income and society. Remember - This Is Thailand! -

I guess if youre looking for confident long term safety and security you should be going for those the government lables "family friendly" destinations. How could you go wrong?
