Thai Rath carried several reports after a Bentley being driven by a wealthy tycoon was caught on dashcam video racing on the left on Bangkok's expressway.

Before a devastating crash that left four injured.

Behind the wheel was a man on the board of seven companies and believed to be a key contributor to a political party.

In publishing a video of the crash and its aftermath on YouTube a news outlet said that Suthat Siwaphiromrat "appeared drunk at the scene.

They suggested that the Bentley had gone into a Pajero and thereafter a Bang Rak fire truck had piled into the resulting wreckage.

Four people were injured including a 29 year old woman with a four year old boy in the Pajero and two firemen aged 59 and 42 in the fire truck.

It was suggested on the video that the tycoon was taken to the Police Hospital for a DUI test.

Thai Rath reported that he had been unwilling to blow into the machine at the scene.

From various reports it appears that the Bentley driver is willing to pay for everything but there have been no charges from the police as yet.

Siam Rath carried a report suggesting the tycoon will by the Bang Rak fire department a new truck. They need one.

It happened about 1 am on Sunday morning after the Bentley went onto the expressway in the Suksawat area.

The vehicles involved were all heading for Din Daeng.

A new Bentley would likely cost the purchaser north of 20 million baht, notes ASEAN NOW.

You think that you know, "we all" do not.   So far most posters have been wrong!

Please give me just 1 halfway reasonable explanation, why something as straightforward as a blood-alcohol test takes 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 days for results to be known.

I underwent the very same test in Australia at 3am with the results coming back at 5:30am the same day.

For f#@s sake get real just once for a change and take your rose-coloured glasses off.

As long as the results are known what does it matter if they take a couple of days?  He was tested, that is what is important.   He was arrested, that is what is important. He has been charged with initial offences, that is what is important.

How quickly a blood/alcohol test was done in Australia is completely irrelevant for. to quote you, f#@s sake.

Ever heard of a figure of speech?

Of course I have but on Thaivisa most posters who use the term are not using it as a figure of speech, they irritatingly use it as a factual statement and, so far, with this case, most have been wrong with their "we all know" suggestions.
