Bangkok Residents Warned of PM2.5 Surge

BANGKOK, Jan 9 (TNA) – The Department of Pollution Control warns people in Bangkok and surrounding provinces to brace for higher levels of hazardous particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) as stagnant air will intensify tomorrow.

 

As of 7 a.m. today, PM 2.5 levels rose beyond safe levels in certain parts of Bangkok and surrounding provinces, ranging from 25-53 microgrammes per cubic meter.

 

The so-call safe level is 50 microgrammes per cubic meter, according to the Pollution Control Department.
