Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha might have made headlines by formally joining the United Thai Nation (Ruam Thai Sang Chart) Party on Monday, but he has offered little in terms of his political vision, according to political analysts.

Prayut formally registered as a member of the newly-formed political party amid much fanfare at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, potentially paving the way for him to be nominated as its prime ministerial candidate in the next general election.

“I don’t aspire to continue in power, but Thailand needs to move forward,” Prayut said in a speech to hundreds of party faithful.

His vision is a little blurred when it comes to Thailands growth..

But sharp as an eagles on what benefits him.

He said "move forward".
That is already patented by a political party with the very same name. Young, fresh, outside political establishment, striving to reform powers.
on the opposite, prayuth is a conservative. So not much new ideas, just reheating history

They didn't trademark the "move forward" name.  Basically in the sticks this wordplay could steal 90% of  any future forward party.

The better question to ask is why if an MP changes parties they need to resign from their position but not the PM.  Is that because he was never truly elected and was just appointed as never having been an MP?

Shhhhh....

We don't mention such things.😏

Questioning or challenging is nearly impious, if not associated with any twisted Lese Majeste accusation. 🤨

Even more important, he's well established and loyal toward a particular influential circle.

How do you think he gathered this status to begin with.

Wow. The first part of the statement is the biggest lie of the year, so far. We all know how desperate and power hungry you are, Cha Cha.

And the 2nd part? You and your incapable gang have spent 8 very long years putting the nation on a backwards trajectory. And now you talk about moving forward? Do you even know what that means?
