Also, anybody wishing to discuss the meaning of life, please feel free to hit me up.

IMO there is no meaning in life. If we believe in God we believe in an after life, and if we don't then this is all there is. What was our life after we are dust- after the last person that knew us dies we are as nothing! In cosmic terms the planet and everything on it are nothing but a minute speck in the universe.

We exist for just a small fraction of a cosmic second, and came from nothing and to nothing we return ( unless we believe and return to God ).

BTW, I saw the movie and remember nothing of it.

OMG, GG you have once again outdone yourself with your mostly-musical based stream of conciousness.

I hope it was as good for you as it was for me.

Stream of consciousness is not, particularly, my forte, not having much experience documenting it.

Most guys would need a cigarette after finishing this thread.

Take care, Man.

Wishing you, and yours, a most blessed 2023, full of good health, happiness, and contentment.

Read more Ulysses, in 2023, is my advice. Irish authors and Celtic music can't be beat, for sure.

I have a soft spot in my heart for Irish authors. And, Celtic music is the only variety which makes me weep for the utter magnificence of such beautiful sorrow.

In fact, after so many decades on TERRA FIRMA, this is just the beginning of what I hope I will not need to feel forever.

But....

Only the beginning.

Only the just the start,

Of Eternal torture in Heaven.

I wish the gods would just leave me alone...

Have you recently noticed that we are in a downward spiral?

Any pilot knows that, when spinning a small plane, beyond a certain point, the spin becomes irrecoverable.

Check out YT, these days.

The Google YT algorithm feeds on views.

Views feed on the Google YT algorithm.

Neither the viewers nor the algorithm are educated, and only the algorithm has read books.

But, the algorithm is a machine.

The algorithm does not ENJOY books.

And, the viewership of YouTube do not read books.

This is what is called a DOWNWARD irrecoverable spin, if one were a pilot.

And, it really seems that there is no pilot with sense in the cockpit of the Google Machine...

Just an observation:

Have you ever asked yourself why so few people, around the world, detest Canadians, especially Canadians of the 1970s, and particularly Canadians before the 1970s?

Think about it.

Nobody dislikes Canadians.

Why?

Although I am not Canadian:

Sometimes I do wonder if most people alive today can truly appreciate the majesty of Canada in the 1960s.

Ontario, for example.

60 years ago, we could canoe for hundreds of miles and not see a soul.

We would strip naked and bathe in clear waters.

Never a bear did bother us.

We would portage our canoes and supplies, from lake to lake, using head straps.

We were young, in those days, and just at the edge of puberty.

And so, it was never like Brokeback Mountain....

Brokeback Mountain?

Ang Lee of Taiwan???

What?

I never realized that Ang Lee of Taiwan directed Broke My Back Mountain.

My favorite film of Ang Lee are, actually, two:

THE ICE STORM...

ANG LEE...?

No.

His name is Li An, from PingDong, Taiwan.

At the very least, besides wafers, we countrymen also have one great director out of Taiwan.

(By wafers, I just meant a sillycone wafer, and not a Polish Christmas wafer.)

Better yet, might be a Texas wafer...

Why mention Chomsky's infamous book?

Just because, it is important to separate oneself from mass media, just to think.

Otherwise, one winds up buying more than one needs, and more than that which can make one satisfied.

One ends up acting in ways which are not aligned with one's best interests.

I have a suggestion for everyone who reads my words:

Shun pointless conspicuous consumerism.

Read more Chomsky.

If you do not mark my words, then what do you think might happen?

Are you smart enough to know?

Stop acting like automatons, which you are not.

Did you ever get the feeling that children, today, are living in a complete fantasy world?

Or, do you believe that children, today, are realists?

Alternatively, might it be more accurate to say that children, today, see our world more realistically, and therefore choose to retreat into fantasy?
