Daily News Thai Caption: Upset with her husband

 

Daily News reported that Muang Trat police in eastern Thailand and rescue services were called after a 17 year old pregnant woman attempted suicide.

 

At a rented room in Wang Krachae sub-district they found the three month pregnant teen standing in tears alongside her 20 year old husband, given the name "Arm".

On the floor was a washing up liquid bottle, a bottle of dog shampoo and a knife.

 

The couple were separated in an attempt to calm tempers.

 

Arm's mum arrived and with the police talked to the pair.

 

After an hour it was decided they would split up.

 

A rescue worker called Amphon said they'd been told she drank toilet cleaner.

 

They had had an argument about the teen wanting to set up an internet hotspot.

 

He refused and told her to get on with her dinner. 

 

A further furious argument ensued in which she tried to kill herself with a knife. Arm disarmed her before she ran into the toilet and guzzled down dog shampoo.

 

She vomited and Arm called rescue in a panic.

 

Neighbors reported very frequent arguments. Arm is a repairman and the teen is still at school and will soon graduate. 

 

Arm's mum said that both families would decide what to do about the pregnancy.
