Return Tickect Requirement Question

Featured Replies

hello there, my tourist visa will expire tomorrow and i was planning on making a visa run to poipet, but i just learned today that i am required to have a return air ticket at the border. so, can i simply buy a 1 way ticket to singapore or somewhere from air airasia to fulfill this requirement? in the future, i can change this ticket to another destination or maybe not even use the ticket.

thank you for your reply.

Any ticket out is OK..... have you extended your tourist visa to give you the extra 30days?

Be aware that changing Air Asia tickets is not easy.

Read the conditions very carefully.

Or book thai airways cancellation costs you 2000 bath

just postponed my oneway airasia flight to phnom phen (bought ticket for same reason as you and then decided phnom phen might not be the best place to go for a visa), cost me 800+300 baht (extra 300 because old ticket had been promotional fare). still better than throwing ticket away?? not sure.

no requirement to show onward ticket at malaysian or lao borders so far.

thank you everyone. i think i will go to ban leam to do the visa run tomorrow. apparently, they dont require an outbound plane ticket, just require an internal bus ticket for 200 baht more. thanks again.
