Pattaya — An Indian tourist said Sunday that he was attacked by a group of Pattaya nightclub guards on Walking Street over what he says was a small argument.

Pattaya Police and Sawang Boriboon rescuers responded to an assault report on Walking Street in South Pattaya at 4 AM.

 

The assaulted tourist, only identified as Mr. Prince, was being treated by a good Samaritan at the scene after sustaining head injuries and bleeding. The 32-year-old Indian tourist claimed to the police with the assistance of a female friend translating that he had been attacked by the guards of a nearby Indian nightclub on South Walking Street.

Walking st security guards have a poor reputation, most are polite, some are <deleted>

Apparently they don't enforce the closing times anymore. In Tree Town just yesterday a bar with a band was making extreme noise until 3am. I guess they could even hear it at the Beach Road Police Station. Maybe they use earplugs there... ???? But this shows that the bars are not worried. Open past closing time - normally I would expect that they turn down the volume then. But obviously they want to tell the world "Come to us. We are still open".

If he did that he was asking for trouble. Confrontations at 4am in a bar/nightclub area never a good idea in any country.

A lot of soi dogs around at 4am must be a misunderstanding ???? 

I'm must be suffering from Deja Vu, did this not happen a few weeks ago also ?

If you put yourself at the wrong place at the wrong time then shtick can happen. Take your own risks.

Where were the Police Volunteers/special forces guys????

On another site reporting that the Security are saying he is an ex employee of the Bar and he was beaten up at the indian restaurant behind the bar.

They don't need to turn the volume down, they all have (temporary) "permission" from the police to be open late.
