This is a prime example of discussions in other threads.  Some would argue the success of Central Festival in securing a new tenant, but they fail to recognize the demise of the property that this tenant vacated from.

The "survival of the fittest" argument doesn't take into account the empty buildings here left derelict.

It is sad in a way.... The Avenue was conceived and built with much hype. Then people scratched their heads as the nearby Central Festival BR was built. It is a sad reminder of getting things very wrong.

From what I know the passport office was not paying any rent to the Avenue. It was like a "prestige" tenant.

My TGF, now wife worked close to one year there just after it opened after going through a selective hiring exam and a two-month work experience at Chaeng Wattana MFA.

The Avenue has lost another major tenant, but hey, Pattaya can sustain more malls.  :cheesy:
