Twitter: Number of staff suing goes up daily - lawyer

The number of sacked Twitter staff launching legal action against the company "goes up daily", according to a lawyer representing some of them.

Lisa Bloom has told the BBC she has already taken on the cases of about 100 former employees but the number is rising.

One of her clients, Amir Shevat, told the BBC that Twitter boss Elon Musk had "failed" in his leadership of the firm.

'jumping on the bandwagon' springs to mind. I presume the lawyers are not acting for free and taking a big slice of any cash awarded. If it costs nothing to sue, might as well get onboard

Are you suggesting that not suing is a better idea? Only fired employees can "jump on the bandwagon".

It couldn't happen to a nicer billionaire. He can afford it, they make money by ripping off the little people.

Don't see as they have a case as they were responsible for the biggest corruption in freedom of speech ever. Hope they all get counter sued and made homeless

The case is breach of employment contract and promised terms of separation not met. It seems fraud is fine as long as its for right wing causes.

I remember as a kid one of my first jobs , that I got fired from.

I was so upset  that the employer wouldn’t tell me the reason, so I filed a complaint at the local labor department .

The CS rep at the department told me by law they didn’t have to tell me!

So off I went , butt hurt and all, only to continue through life and use that experience as a life lesson .

Musk creates jobs for thousands of people and he is a inspiration to many.

What Musk did to the left’s club house was extremely satisfying imop but

If he promised in writing 4 months severance and only gave 1 then he should be held to it ! Most of these former employees are butt hurt that they were fired!

Every day people working there expose the hypocrisy created by

past Twitter employees who cooperated with Government agencies visa versa

Stay tuned more to come  Richard !

So your argument is that unfair dismissal laws and employment contracts shouldn't exist because these kind people have seen fit to give people jobs? No such thing as exploitative employers?

It will go nowhere. Again.

Same as this case.

Lefties getting more and more desperate to stifle freedom of speech. From freedom loving hippies to misogynistic authoritarians in 50 years. Quite the journey.

There is a separate thread where you can issue your grievances about Twitter and freedom of speech.

This thread is about possible legal consequences for Twitter not adhering to employment laws or employment agreements.

My post provided another example of failed legal attempts to get Musk.

The other commentary was a side note.

Equating two completely different legal cases.

Exactly, a sidenote also known as a deflection.
