A male customer aged about 40 and an attractive female were arrested in a room with a bed and jacuzzi.

They were taken away and were believed to have been fined then released.

Two managers named Somsak, 63, and Natthawat, 32, were arrested and charged with running an illegal business.

Bills, food and drink receipts and equipment used for bathing were taken into evidence.

Local police declined to give further comment on the bust saying it was the first they had heard of it.

The media reported that subsequently the area of the massage parlor was shrouded in darkness with two cars parked outside.

Soapies are BS

So much wasted water, serious problem both the public wastage as well as these joints often drill down into the land and suck up so much water that the ground literally sinks.

What's wrong about a nice bath in a jacuzzi with an attractive female, before having a nap on the bed?

Poseidon probably holds the correct licences.

"The Entertainment Places Act of 1966":
This Act was designed to pave the way for brothels to be legalized in the guise of massage parlours, bars, night-clubs, tea-houses etc. It was enacted at a time when the Government sought to increase state revenue from the "Rest and Recreation" activities of the US armed forces stationed in Vietnam. The Act defines the various kinds of "Entertainment Places" and allows such places to operate only under a license to be obtained from local police stations.

Didn't know there was a prostitution license ... ????

It's not technically called that, but is part of the law covering the provision of 'special services' in places like massage parlours.   Most soapies have been around for years, licensed and operating within the law.  I'm guessing this one is new and hadn't secured the right licences and didn't have friends in high places!

The second law regulating prostitution in Thailand is the Act on Entertainment Places, B.E. 2509 (1966) (the “Entertainment Act”). Massage parlors (excluding parlors providing legitimate massage services), go-go bars, karaoke bars and similar establishments are regulated and required to be licensed by the Entertainment Act.  The Act regulates these businesses due to their influence on public morals and in order to ensure that minors are not allowed access to such businesses. While the Entertainment Act does not expressly permit prostitution, it does allow “service partners” and “bath service providers” and the like. The Entertainment Act distinguishes between those types of employees, who are required to wear red circular disks with their numbers, and non-sexual service staff, who are required to wear blue circular disks with their numbers. Employees of establishments regulated by the Entertainment Act are required to be at least 18 years old, and customers are required to be at least 20 years old. Given the close relationship of many of these businesses to the sex industry, the differences between massage parlors and go-go bars and prostitution establishments are not necessarily clear.

But the pleasure per litre ratio is the highest of all uses that I can possibly imagine.

Neither did La Lisa.

Lacking brown envelope, grounds for arrest.  Duh.

One of the very few customers, out of millions charged with consorting with a prostitute, how could the cops keep a straight face?

Arrested for what?  Did the female cry robbery?  Is the female under age?  What exactly was he arrested for?

Plus RTP always shows photos of those arrested ( blurring their faces)

Hope to hear some actual news about this arrest soon!

Just think how many soapies there are and how much water is used per session. The clean water has to come from somewhere, usually underground and the wastewater has to be pumped somewhere and not back into the ground.

Most of Bangkok is at sea level and even normal tides affect it.

Bangkok is slowly sinking with every new tower block built.

Surprised they could find it amongst the hundreds of OLD establishments. ????

Yes but consider that they would use twice as much water if showering or bathing alone.

Swings and roundabouts. ????????
