I'm coming to Thailand late this month, hopefully for six months to 12 months on double entry tourist visa, I have to apply for my visa this week. The Thai embassy here in NZ wont give anything for longer duration and I must show onwards flight from Thailand at visa's end. I know I must apply for a second tourist visa from outside Thailand if I wish to stay for the full 12 months. Do you apply for the extra 30 days per entry (60 days) at the time of first entering the country or must you apply for extension during your 60 day stay? Any help would be great, two ph calls to embassy here gets you two different answers! :o

You apply a few days before your admitted until date - extension will start from that date.
